Communities of Practice – Improving Continence Care
(Integration and Collaboration)
Communities of Practice (CoP) are an initiative of the Seniors’ Health Research Transfer Network (SHRTN) designed to stimulate knowledge exchange on specific seniors’ health issues. The Continence Care Community of Practice is one of a number of such groups and it is making great strides in connecting caregivers, researchers, policymakers and educators to improve continence care for residents.
Hear how this CoP is assembling teams from long term care homes to review the latest research and use the “rapid cycle method” to learn new techniques and practices. Find out how residents are benefiting from their work. You will also learn more about the vision and goals of SHRTN and the benefits of joining this innovative knowledge exchange network.
Objectives:
Find out how knowledge exchange through the Continence Care Community of Practice improves continence for residents of long term care.
Learn about the tools and resources available through SHRTN and the benefits of joining this innovative knowledge exchange network.
Find out how to access evidence through the SHRTN Library Service.
