LHIN Community Engagement and the New Role for Governing Bodies
(Governance and Leadership)
As the responsibility for planning, funding and accountability moves from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), many changes are coming to light. Not the least of which is the relationship at the governance level between the LHINs and provider organizations. This session will examine the relationship from each perspective and provide participants an opportunity to contribute their thoughts on this evolution.
Objectives:
Learn how maximize your organization’s effectiveness in the LHIN environment.
Discuss how provider boards and LHINs can work together to ensure effective community engagement over the long term.
Joe McReynolds, president and chair of the Central West LHIN, has many years of experience working in public service management in community services, economic development and municipal affairs.
