CONCURRENT WORKSHOP 20
THURSDAY, MAY 15 - 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Avoiding Pitfalls - Effective Return to Work Programs
(Management and Operations)
In the current climate of health human resource recruitment and retention challenges, it is critical that employers support injured workers in their recovery and return to work as expediently as possible. Bringing employees back to work after an injury is always a goal for a healthy workplace as well as a legal obligation under the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
That’s why you won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn more about the Early and Safe Return to Work process (ESRTW) with a focus on avoiding the common “pitfalls” that can hamper a successful return to work. You will have the opportunity to examine your own strategies and participate in a brainstorming session to find ways to strengthen and build on your organization’s approach.
Objectives:
Learn how to reduce your WSIB costs.
Improve your understanding of the Early and Safe Return to Work (ESRTW) process and learn more about the need for progression in resuming regular duties.
Recognize when permanent accommodation is required.
