The Norma Rudy Award recognizes significant voluntary contributions to OANHSS.

Please note that the deadline for submissions has now past. Please see below for the list of recipients.

The Award:

The recipient will receive a plaque at the OANHSS Annual Meeting and Convention. A donation of $250.00 will also be made on behalf of the recipient to a charity of his/her choice.

Criteria:

The recipient of the Norma Rudy Award will be selected for:

Significant commitment and voluntary contributions to OANHSS resulting in identifiable benefits for the Association, its members and users of their services.
Demonstrated initiative in Association activities.
Continued support of Association endeavours.
Significant contribution to services for seniors in Ontario.

Consideration will be given to an individual who has made significant voluntary contributions to OANHSS that may include committee involvement, educational activities, communications and/or Association development.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for consideration, the candidate must have made a prolonged contribution to the Association or one of high intensity.

Note:

The current Chair of the Association is not eligible for the award.

Candidates may not make a personal application for the award.

Candidates nominated in previous years who did not receive the award may be re-nominated using the current submission form.

Presentation of this award is contingent upon there being a qualified candidate.

Nominating Procedures:

To be considered for the Norma Rudy Award, the candidate must be nominated by an individual associated with OANHSS.

Selection Process:

A subcommittee appointed by the OANHSS Board of Directors selects the winner from among the nominations.

Notification and Presentation:

Winners will be notified in advance of the OANHSS Annual Meeting & Convention. The presentation of the awards takes place at the OANHSS Annual Meeting & Convention (click on link for more information).
