Political Advocacy
Our primary role is to present member issues and represent member interests with government. Key activities undertaken to achieve these objectives include:

• direct contact with Ministers and Deputy Ministers
• ongoing consultation with policy advisers and senior government staff
• member representation on government committees and task forces
• presentations and submission to funders and legislators on critical issues affecting members
• collaboration and strategic alliances with other organizations
• media and public relations

Communication
We guarantee a regular flow of the timely information on sector developments and Association initiatives through our website, monthly mailings, broadcast email updates and newsletters.

Access the "members only" section on our website for up-to-date information on long term care issues and developments, to search our on-line directory, participate in member discussions and forums, and to access member programs and services.

Committees, Advisory Groups, Task Forces
Get involved in the work of the Association and share your expertise through active participation on advisory groups and task forces.

Certification
Take the challenge of certification! Enroll in our five-day intensive program which is recognized by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as one of the programs accepted as equivalent preparation for administrators in long term care facilities.

2008 Membership Fee - is a mill rate calculation based on the organization's annual operating expenditure.  For developing facilities the membership fee is a flat fee of $750/year and $150/year for developing housing.
