The Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors (OANHSS) is a recognized leader in long term care, seniors' housing and community services, and a strong champion of the not-for-profit delivery model.
OANHSS was founded in 1919 and member organizations currently operate over 25,000 long term care beds, 5,000 seniors' housing units, and serve over 100,000 seniors per year.
We are the leading source of information on issues relating to and impacting
on the delivery of care and services to seniors across the province. We firmly
believe that a properly funded long term care system can produce cost-savings
for the health care sector, and contribute greatly to the strengthening of the
system as a whole.

Donna
Rubin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Association of Non-Profit
Homes and Services for Seniors (OANHSS). OANHSS
is a provincial association of non-profit providers of care and services to
seniors. Members represent the full
spectrum of the continuum including long term care facilities, seniors housing
and community services.
Ms.
Rubin has worked at OANHSS since 1990 and for nine years was the Association’s
Assistant Executive Director. Prior
to joining OANHSS, Ms. Rubin was the Registrar of Bishop’s University in
Lennoxville, Quebec, and has held positions at Mount Royal College, Calgary and
McGill University in Montreal.
