Media trendsetter Moses Znaimer will kick
off the 2009 OANHSS Convention as our opening keynote speaker on May 4,
2009.
Znaimer’s career trajectory
as a media innovator and visionary who has now set his sights on the
seniors’ sector will be the perfect start to our
Then, Now, Next themed convention that will look at where we’ve come
from, where we are and where we are going as we celebrate 90 years as an
Association.
Znaimer, one of the most colourful and
controversial characters in Canadian television history, started at the
CBC, co-creating Canada’s longest-running radio show, Cross
Country Check-Up, but is probably best known for his groundbreaking
approach to television as co-founder and executive producer of
Citytv.
He is now Executive Director of the
Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) and recently launched its
new Zoomer Magazine.
